Windows 7 on the iPad

Posted on 01. Feb, 2010 by in Rumors

It looks like developers really want it to push the iPad further… much further! and want Windows 7 to run on the recently revealed Apple tablet, iPad. Citrix Systems believe they could run the Windows & operating system on the iPad. There is even the possibility to see an iPad running on Mac OS X, Ubuntu – or maybe even Android!

Citrix has already managed to run Windows 7 on the iPad SDK Emulator via Citrix Receiver and XenDesktop 4. Now we just have to wait for the iPad to release and see how well Windows 7 performs on it.

unless a usb port can be attached via the apple proprietary port, the ipad will still be rendered somewhat useless. Apple has just given every other pc manufacturer all they need to release a much better tablet.

Why not get a touchscreen laptop to run Win 7?

You also need to bare in mind the quality components that mac use… Windows 7 on the iPad would be great just as long as they can make some virtual keyboard software to run on it as well.
