The infographic below (based on a survey of Business Intelligence professionals by TechTarget), explains the change in BI adoption since its beginnings in the late 1900s.  As you’ll see, the data shows that BI companies are seeking ways to offer easier-to-use software and more user-friendly options.  Also, it makes it clear that upcoming business intelligence trends will pave the way for the power shift that is on the horizon for BI.
