This website is www.virustotal.com.  VirusTotal is a service that analyzes suspicious files and facilitates the quick detection of viruses, worms, trojans, and all kinds of malware detected by antivirus engines. This free, independent service features the use of multiple antivirus engines (Which is very important to be able to capture the newest viruses as quickly as possible) and real-time automatic updates of virus signatures. additionally, it also provides detailed results from each antivirus engine.

For those who are reluctant to install an anti virus software on their system (bad idea!) or maybe for those who just want to take the extra step to scan certain suspicious files for any infections, this could be the service you are looking for!

Bargain electronics manufacturer Coby has been a showing new portable this week at the CeBIT expo that will cost, according to Engadget, just $85. Yes, you read that right! only $85! (About 65EUR!)

For starters, the screen is just 7 inches, which places it squarely between most 10-inch netbooks and smaller MIDs. It is powered by an Intel Atom processor(624MHz), and 2GB of flash-based storage (Which is expandable by SD Cards). You also have to live with Windows CE rather than Windows XP or Windows 7 as your OS. But most importantly, it has built-in 802.11b/g (but not 802.11n) Wi-Fi for checking email and viewing Web pages.

This is a great device for those who just want to take this around for casual email, browsing and small tasks.

It also includes a new feature called Visual Tabs, which by using a special drawer you can see a thumbnail view of all open pages. Finally this broswer includes also special tools and widgets to help you out in your daily browsing needs.

The most revolutionary feature in this new version is Opera Unite. Opera Unite is a technology platform allowing you to share content directly with friends without having to upload anything to a Web site. You can stream music, show photo galleries, share files and folders or even host your own Web pages directly from your browser.

This is an internet phenomenon called the LOLCat. It is simply an image combining a photograph of a cat, with a humorous caption in (grammatically incorrect) English—known as “lolspeak“.

There are thousands and thousands of images of funny Cats, and other animals online, and you can find a lot of them on the largely popular website http://icanhascheezburger.com.

This LOLSpeak language is actually taken quite seriously (or srsly in lolspeak) and there are even lolspeak translators available online so you can create your own images.

Now, the LOLSpeak language has been taken to a whole new level, with the release of the Online Lolcat Bible at http://www.lolcatbible.com. Some people will find this extremely funny, with references to God replaced to “ceiling cat” and the devil replaced with “basement cat”, plus the added grammatically incorrect will add to the entertainment.

Unfortunately, some others are bound to find this offensive and will probably bash it. I’d definately love to hear the vatican’s view on this topic!.

OpenPeak, a provider of multimedia touch-screen devices and device management platforms has officially debuted its new touch-screen tablet, OpenTablet 7, that combines telephony with multi-media communications services and applications at MWC in Barcelona.

The OpenTablet is expected to be adopted by multiple branded customers and service providers and ship in the second half of this year.

Powered by Intel’s next generation handheld and tablet platform, codenamed “Moorestown,” the OpenTablet 7 features a high-resolution 7-inch multi-touch TFT LCD screen with LED backlighting, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and cellular connectivity, HDMI output and dual cameras for capturing both high-definition video and still images. The on-board USB interface and MicroSD slot expand the device’s connectivity, while built-in speakers and microphone allow the device to serve as a fully functioning telephone and multimedia platform. At 9 inches by 5 inches, and only .59″ thick, the device is as slim as a photo frame, and weighs just 1.15 pounds.

Leveraging Intel’s Moorestown platform and built on the OpenPeak platform, the OpenTablet is a ready-to-deploy device that provides plug-and-play ease of installation at an affordable price point. The device is available with either a desktop docking station or handset docking station.

OpenPeak’s software framework enables designers and developers to create highly interactive applications using Adobe Flash CS4, eliminating the need to learn new programming languages or complex APIs.

Microsoft has announced the Windows Phone 7 Series, a complete re-branding of Windows Mobile OS. The phone operating system is apparently completely new and everything from the underlying code, and the system’s look and feel have been developed from scratch! Everything is brand new.

7 Series has rebuilt Windows Mobile from the ground up, featuring a completely altered home screen and a new user interface experience, robust Xbox LIVE and Zune integration, and vastly new and improved social networking tools. Gone is the familiar Start screen, now replaced with “tiles” which scroll vertically and can be customized as quick launches, links to contacts, or self contained widgets. The look of the OS has also been radically upended, mirroring the Zune HD experience closely, replete with that large, iconic text for menus, and content transitions which elegantly (and dimensionally) slide a user into and out of different views.

The OS is also heavily focused on social networking, providing integrated contact pages which show status updates from multiple services and allow fast jumps to richer cloud content (such as photo galleries). The Xbox integration will include LIVE games, avatars, and profiles, while the Zune end of things appears to be a carbon copy of the standalone device’s features (including FM radio). The first handsets are supposed to hit the market by the holidays of this year.

HP Enterprise Services says its new 360,00 sq. ft. Wynyard center is 40 percent more energy-efficient than conventional data centers thanks to its harnessing of wind to lower temperatures of IT equipment and plant rooms.

Data centers are known to be electrical power hogs and major carbon emissions culprits. Traditional data centers use thousands of megawatt of electricty per year. Much of that energy usage and emissions are the result of cooling systems. HP’s data center, is trying to take a more intelligent approach by harnessing the natural cold winds.

The system keeps the hall at a constant 24 degrees Celsius, or approximately 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The outside temperature only rises above that for about 20 hours per year. (The facility uses traditional chillers for those occasions.)

By 2011, HP expects the average U.K. data center to spend $15.33 million per year on cooling systems. That means efficiency and going green is a smart financial move, too.

Here’s how Wynyard cut its carbon footprint:

• Eight 2.2 meter-diameter steel and plastic fans in each of the four halls in the data center are used to supply air. Another eight are used to exhaust air.
• A mixing chamber in the facility recirculates air to maintain conditions in the 5m-high pressurized plenum, or cavity, below the computer equipment.
• There are 8,100 square meters of technical space at an average capacity of 2,260 watts per square meter to a tier 3 standard.
• Humidification and cooling coils in the data center tune the outside air condition, while modular filters remove contaminants.
• The facility is harvesting rainwater, which it filters and stores in 80,000-liter tanks. It uses this water to maintain proper humidity levels in the air that’s brought in from outside.
• The facility uses light-colored server racks because they reflect light, allowing for 40 percent less lighting to be installed compared to using black cabinets.

The average price per kilowatt-hour? About $0.117, which will save Wynyard approximately $1.4 million per hall with a carbon footprint of “less than half” the competition.

Citrix has already managed to run Windows 7 on the iPad SDK Emulator via Citrix Receiver and XenDesktop 4. Now we just have to wait for the iPad to release and see how well Windows 7 performs on it.
